The PTRC provides monthly courses for inventors to learn how to perform patent searches with the resources available online and at the PTRC. Georgia PATENTS highly recommends inventors that are having difficulty finding art references attend this course. PLEASE SIGN-UP PRIOR TO ATTENDING!

The Georgia Tech Library has been the Patent & Trademark Resource Center – formerly Patent & Trademark Depository Library (PTDL) – since 1946. The PTRCs have all available patents issued in the U.S. since 1790 on file together with additional search tools. Though PTRCs are not permitted to do any of the application procedures for you, nor give you legal advice, PTRCs can help you make your search of the patent and trademark databases more efficient. PTRCs can instruct you in the use of the search tools available at the Library to conduct your own patent and trademark searches.
