Have an idea and wondered about patents? Join Georgia PATENTS and patent attorney Zach Stevenson of the law firm Thomas Horstemeyer on August 19 from 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm for an in-depth look at the U.S. patent system.
A patent is a right granted by the U.S. government to the owner of an invention that is useful, novel, and non-obvious over the prior art. The owner of a U.S. patent may exclude others from practicing the invention for about 20 years after the filing date of the application which gave rise to the patent. This seminar will cover what makes an invention “patentable” and provide an overview of the patent application process.
NOTE: This course is eligible as the mandatory training for the Georgia PATENTS Program. Alternatively, inventors may take the online course. Come with questions!
This seminar will be held virtually. All registered will receive instructions on how to access the seminar electronically 24 hours before the event.
