Creatives and artists have always been early adopters of the newest media of expression. The rise of digital assets has been fueled in large part by artists, both practiced and new to creating. As artists of all types explore digital assets as a medium for delivering, displaying, promoting, and selling their works, many have questions about how current laws affect those activities. This session will use a workshop format to provide a survey of digital asset law in relation to rising types of art online, court cases, and regulatory opinions. NFTs, digital sharing, copyright, and related topics will be discussed.
