Emily Schifter is an associate in the Labor & Employment section at Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP. She represents clients in a variety of labor and employment-related matters, including employment discrimination, leave, disability accommodation, and wage and hour litigation. Additionally, she counsels employers on many aspects of employment law and human resources issues, such as employee handbooks, policies and training and drafts agreements and restrictive covenants for a variety of circumstances, including as part of mergers and acquisitions,.
Emily received her B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her J.D. degree from the University of Georgia. Before joining Troutman Pepper, Emily served as a law clerk to a federal judge in the Northern District of Georgia in Rome. Emily lives in Atlanta with her husband, Adam, and their rescue dog, Murphy. In her free time, she loves exploring the city’s restaurant scene, live music, spending time outdoors, and reading.
