Becki Lee is an attorney at IHG Hotels. Becki focuses her practice on copyright and trademark counseling. Becki’s practice involves trademark and copyright prosecution and enforcement, IP licensing, domain name enforcement, anti-counterfeiting efforts, Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) matters, cannabis-related trademark matters, rights of publicity, and various entertainment law issues. Becki has represented clients in disputes in federal district court and in front of the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Becki is on the Executive Committee of the Atlanta IP Inn of Court. During law school, Becki won Best Brief at the Cardozo BMI Moot Court Competition. She also was an intern at GLA in 2012 and has stayed active with the organization ever since.
Before law school, Becki worked in the entertainment industry for 10 years as a publicist, marketer, and event planner. She also owned her own music-focused public relations firm, so she has firsthand knowledge of the challenges involved in starting and running a creative business.
Becki has two young kids, two dogs, and one spouse, and lives in Decatur. Becki plays the drums when she gets a chance. In 2020, Becki published a children’s book about intellectual property called Do You Draw Pictures?.
