 nd patent attorney Zach Stevenson of Ballard Spahr on Tuesday\, June 17  
 from 12:00 pm–2:30 pm for an in-depth look at the U.S. patent system.\n\
 nA patent is a right granted by the U.S. government to the owner of an inv
 ention that is useful\, novel\, and non-obvious over the prior art. The ow
 ner of a U.S. patent may exclude others from practicing the invention for 
 about 20 years after the filing date of the application which gave rise to
  the patent. This seminar will cover what makes an invention “patentable
 ” and provide an overview of the patent application process to better as

 on-zachary\n\nZach Stevenson is a patent attorney who focuses his practice
  on preparing and pursuing patent rights for inventors. Although Zach’s 
 primary practice is focused on utility patents\, Zach enjoys preparing and
  pursuing design patents for inventors of consumer products and graphical 
 user interfaces.  Zach was previously a patent fellow at Georgia Lawyers 
 for the Arts\, where he assisted first-time inventors obtain patent drafti
 ng services on a pro bono basis. Before Zach attended law school\, he work
 ed as a software developer in Orlando\, Florida.\n\nNOTE: This course is e
