 invention that is useful\, novel\, and non-obvious over the prior art. The
  owner of a U.S. patent may exclude others from practicing the invention f
 or about 20 years after the filing date of the application which gave rise
  to the patent. This seminar will cover what makes an invention “patenta
 ble” and provide an overview of the patent application process to better

 enson-zachary\n\nZach Stevenson is a patent attorney who focuses his pract
 ice on preparing and pursuing patent rights for inventors. Although Zach
 ’s primary practice is focused on utility patents\, Zach enjoys preparin
 g and pursuing design patents for inventors of consumer products and graph
 ical user interfaces.  Zach was previously a patent fellow at Georgia Law
 yers for the Arts\, where he assisted first-time inventors obtain patent d
 rafting services on a pro bono basis. Before Zach attended law school\, he
  worked as a software developer in Orlando\, Florida.\n\nNOTE: This course

 evon Vander Voort:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDevon Vander Voort is an art dealer\, cur
 ator\, and educator based between New York City\, Syracuse\, and Atlanta. 
 In 2023\, she founded Devon Vander Voort LLC\, an advisory firm helping cl
 ients build and maintain their fine art collections with a museum-quality 
 lens. Vander Voot works with artists at all stages\, curating exhibitions 
 and advising them on their practices. Currently\, Vander Voort sits on the
  board of the Syracuse University Art Museum in Syracuse and the Greenwich
  Art Society in Greenwich\, CT. She consults for the Museum Association of
  New York and is an adjunct professor in the Museum Studies department at 
 Syracuse University. Vander Voort holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from Syr
 acuse University and a B.A. in Art History from SCAD (The Savannah College
