About Pete
In his role at Turner Broadcasting, Pete leads a team that handles legal affairs for Turner Classic Movies, truTV and Turner Studios, providing strategic legal and business affairs advice with respect to the development, production, clearance, and multi-platform distribution of hundreds of hours of original programming annually. His responsibilities include leading the negotiation and drafting of production and distribution related agreements, overseeing rights and clearance issues and helping to manage production and talent related claims and disputes. In addition, Pete is the Vice Chair of the Copyright Committee for the State Bar of Georgia’s Intellectual Property Section and an Adjunct Professor of Entertainment Law at the University of Georgia School of Law. Pete is also on the Active Living Board for the city of Decatur. Prior to joining Turner, Pete was an associate in the Litigation Group at Troutman Sanders LLP, where he handled litigation for clients in the sports and entertainment, finance, and pharmaceutical industries. He received his JD from the University of North Carolina and his BS in Finance from the University of South Carolina. Outside of work, Pete enjoys having adventures with his family, watching his kids participate in their various activities and playing soccer.
